Looks nice. I've got to pour my driveway. 144 yards and most of the way it will be two 2'-6" ribbons. I figure 16 trucks (9-yard trucks). I'll get a buddy to help me and pour two trucks at a time.

Theres is three guarantees in comcrete work. It will get hard. , no one will steel it, and it will absoluetly crack Any one that says there concrete work does not shrink crack is a liar

In regards to the wire mesh, It sounds like you are trying to lift it up so that I assume would be somewhere near the middle of the concrete as you pour. How do you keep it from getting pushed back down to the bottom as you walk on it during the leveling and screeding part?

I’d put fiber and wire mesh both. They each serve different purposes.

The wet screed looks pretty efficient. The last time I had concrete poured, they drove rebar every so many feet and set the top of the rebar to the level of the concrete with the laser. Then when they passed that spot, they would drive the rebar down below the surface and then finish that spot.
